IRAMA DONDANG WORKSHOP

The Irama Dondang Workshop seeks to expose participants to its unique music genre as well as to guide participants to use the power of the Malay language to write beautiful and meaningful lyrics inspired by the community spirit that can encourage harmony, peace and stability to the country.

 

A professional musician will assist the participants with composing the melody. Although Dondang was originally invented through the use of a Western instrument (acoustic guitar), Dondang is syncretic in a way that it fuses ethnic elements with Western influences.
